Tecno Camon 16 - Full Review - Big RAM

 

I was really excited when Tecno Released their Tecno Camon 16 series.

Because they started to make some Phones with upper-level specs. 

 

But when the phone was released I became very disappointed with its price. And I hope you are also. But then they take a smart move. They drop the phone's price. 

 

So this is Camon 16. This is a mid-range budget phone.

Last few days I have been using this device as my secondary device. So today I will share with you my User experience with this phone.

Overview:

48 megapixel Quad camera setup And a 16-megapixel front camera.

6.8-inch big display.

6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

5000 MAH battery.

MediaTek Helio G 70 chipset.

Design:

I really like the back panel design and look. 

This phone has been released with black and white to colour variants. 

 

But I think the white colour is better than the blue. It feels very smooth in hand. Not so slippery. It feels very nice in hand. 

On the top of the back panel, it has a layer of glass. And on the bottom, it has a Techno branding. 

 

On the top, it has a rectangular-shaped camera house. It has 4 cameras and an LED Flashlight. Though the position of The fingerprint scanner was a little bit high. But it was super first. 

A big Thumbs up for that.

Display:

The display is 6.8 inch HD plus resolution. 

And it has a camera cut out on the top. Techno calls it Dot Notch display. And a medium chin in the bottom Which is not so big. 

 

And the bazzles are also thick. For its 6.8 inch display and 5000 mah battery, this phone becomes very big and bulky. 

 

But the weight distribution was perfect. But you can feel the weight. But the back panel was very comfortable. So HD plus display is usually at this price. 

 

Though The colour was not so vibrant it was ok. But the big lacking you will see in the sharpness. Because the display is being but PPI density is low. Brightness was enough in both indoor and outdoor. But you may have some issues outdoor. But in most of the situations, the Brightness was ok. 

 

There is no colour negativity or viewing angle issues. But the touch response should be improved. It was not so smooth.

Ports and Buttons:

It has a triple card slot on the left side. On the right side, it has a power button and volume button. The top side is clean.

 

On the bottom, it has a primary microphone, 3.5 mm audio jack, Bottom facing speaker And a micro USB port. This micro USB port is not suitable at this price. It is very disappointing. It should be a USB type C port. 

 

But the speaker quality was good. It was not so bad or so extraordinary.

Performance:

You already know about the performance of MediaTek Helio G70. Because this chipset is specially made for gaming. And the performance of G80, G85, G70 are almost similar. 

 

You can play Pubg on this device in ultra frame rate and smooth graphics. And the gameplay was very smooth. But sometimes it was lagging in action moment. Accepting that there were no major issues.

 

I have also played Call of Duty and it was also running very smoothly. 

 

It was also performing well in day to day tasks. And the big reason for its good performance is the 6 GB RAM And 128GB internal storage. 

For its big RAM multitasking was very smooth in this phone. And the chipset was also handling all the tasks very smoothly.

Camera:

It has a four-camera setup in the back. 48-megapixel primary sensor, 2-megapixel macro lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and an AI sensor. The primary camera takes good images in 

daylight or proper light. It was sharp and bright. And the details were also good. The colour of the images was accurate. 

 

It has a 16-megapixel front camera. It was performing well outdoors.

Battery:

It has a 5000 mAh battery. I am having a two to three days battery backup from this phone. So there is no complaint about battery backup. 

 

But it has an issue with the charger. It supports 18-watt fast charging. But techno has given a 10-watt charger with the phone. 

Which is very disappointing. I hate it most. And Techno has done this in their previous phones also.
